The Kevin Hart and Woody Harrelson team-up I never knew I wanted ?!
Look, I like Kevin Hart and I like Woody Harrelson, but even they aren’t enough to save this generic action comedy
We’ve seen it all before, and done a lot better too
The film isn’t as funny as I thought it was going to be, to be honest?
As said before; I like Kevin Hart, and I do find him genuinely funny !!!!
I like his stand-up, and I always enjoy his films
But for some reason, it felt like he was off his game in this film to be honest?
He isn’t as funny here in my opinion, as he is in films like Jumanji and Central Intelligence etc
He brings a lot of energy to the film and his character, but I was expecting to laugh more than I did
Hart plays a likeable and relatable character, but I personally preferred Woody Harrelson’s character !!!!!
Woody Harrelson is the action star I never knew I wanted ?!
He isn’t the next Jason Statham or anything, but I found him to be really cool !!!!!!
Well technically, he is the next Jason Statham, because he was actually originally cast in this role before Harrelson
But he left the film due to creative differences; regarding the rating and tone of the film
He was then replaced by the next bald guy in Hollywood
To be honest, I’m surprised that Kevin Hart didn’t give Dwayne Johnson a call?
To be honest, you can tell that the role was made for someone like Statham
Nevertheless, Harrelson is clearly having a lot of fun in this role !!!!!
Woody Harrelson and Kevin Hart are an odd pairing, but they work surprisingly well together ?!
They both display good chemistry and are fun to watch !!!!!
I do feel that the film would have worked so much better if it was given a 15 rating (R)
To be honest, there are times where the film wants to take things further, but then it remembers it’s 12 rating (PG-13)
The film is very silly and over the top to be honest !!!!
But what do you expect from a film that stars Kevin Hart, and Woody Harrelson as a master assassin ?!
This is definitely a film that knows exactly what it is, and it embraces it !!!!!!
